Bernie Spisak's Obituary
Bernard J. Spisak, age 70 of Elyria, died suddenly Saturday, December 4, 2004 at EMH Regional Medical Center.
He was born December 8, 1933 in Lakewood. He had resided in Elyria the past 10 years. He prevoisly lived in North Ridgeville and North Olmsted.
Mr. Spisak retried in 1994 from Society/ Key Corp. Bank in Cleveland where he was Assistant Vice President of Operation, where he had worked for 29 years. He prevouisly owned and operated Bernard Spisak Salon of Hair Fasion in Lakewood.
He was a member of St Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville where he served as the Church organist for the past 4 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus North Ridgeville Council 7970 and a Fourth Degree Knight with Lt. Francis McManus Assembly. He also was a member of the Elyria Polish Club.
Mr. Spisak enjoyed bowling with the Friday Buckeye Seniors Leugue where he was the secretary and the Monday Seniors League at Buckeye Lanes in North Olmsted. He also enjoyed toll and water color painting, making crafts, crocheting and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years Patricia A. (nee Sostakowski) 2 Sons, Mark Spisak of Monroe, NC, David Spisak of Elyria; 2 daughters, Susan Palko of North Olmsted, Anne Palko of Elyria; seven grandchildren, three sisters, Mary Prickett of Avon Lake, Theresa Witczak of Pinehurst, NC; and Coletta Sostakowski of Cleveland.
He was preceded in death by Parents, Michael and Mary Spisak, brothers, Edward, Ray and four infant brothers, one sister, Veronica Pesto.
Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9, Monday, December 6 at the at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville, where a prayer service will be held 9:30 AM Tuesday.
Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM at St. Peter Church. Reverend Stephen Kaminski, Pastor will be the celebrant.
Interment will follow in the St. Peter's Cemetery.
