Bernice V. Malbasa's Obituary
Bernice V. Malbasa (nee Prince) age 95, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Riverview Pointe Care Center in Olmsted Falls. She was born in Cleveland and had lived most of her life in Olmsted Falls before moving to Las Vegas for 14 years, and then to North Ridgeville in 2012. Bernice worked as a Snap Coordinator for Medina County for many years, retiring in 1993. She enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, shopping, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bernice was looking forward to meeting her new great-granddaughter in March.
Survivors include her son, Michael C. (Mary) Malbasa of Grafton, daughters, Laura Malbasa of Oracle, Arizona, Linda O’Neill of West Palm Beach, Florida, Lisa Malbasa of Strawberry, Arizona, grandchildren, Michael (Kristin) Malbasa Jr., Lara (Michael) Doup, Sarah (Koury) Henderson, Timothy (Kristin) Malbasa, great-grandchildren, Rachel Malbasa, Sean Malbasa, Madison Doup, Jack Doup, Joseph Henderson and Natalie Henderson.
She was preceded in death by former husband, Michael, father, Charles Prince, adopted mother, Lena Prince and biological mother, Alvina Gilford.
A Memorial Mass will be held 11 AM Saturday February 3, 2024 at St. Julie’s Church, 5500 Lear Nagle Rd., North Ridgeville. Rev. Bob Franco, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
Interment will be private.
