Bernard J. "Bernie" Zisko's Obituary
Bernard J. “Bernie” Zisko, age 69, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake.
Born on May 23, 1957, in Cleveland, Bernie made his home in North Ridgeville for the past 23 years after previously living in Avon and Strongsville. He worked as a supervisor at Aroo Plastics, retiring in 2017 after more than 25 years of dedicated service.
Bernie was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He will be remembered for his caring and selfless nature, especially the devoted care he gave to his parents and his brother, Michael. Bernie enjoyed reading the sports page, watching movies, visiting the library, golfing, and following sports of all kinds. One of his greatest joys was attending and cheering on his nephews at their baseball games.
He is survived by his siblings Patti (Larry) Mick of Canton, GA, Andrene (Randy) Gaddis of North Ridgeville, John (Terri) Zisko of Cincinnati and Andrew (Heather) Zisko of Maumee; nieces and nephews Jennifer (Scott), Billy (Jamie), Christopher, Jeremy (Danielle), Nicole (Tyler), Nathan, Allison, Jacob, Joshua, Jason, Nicholas and Luke; great niece and nephews Cassidy, Dane, Landen, Chandler and Bradley.
Bernie was preceded in death by his parents Dolores (née Baran) and Bernard Zisko; brother Michael Zisko.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville on Friday, June 5 from 4-7 p.m. and on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. for a prayer service preceding an 11:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Bob Franco will officiate. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Brook Park.
