Bernard H. Johnson Jr.'s Obituary
Bernard H. “Bernie” Johnson Jr., age 68, of Avon, passed away Tuesday November 10, 2020 at his home following a long illness. Born in Hartwell, WV, he had resided in Lorain before moving to Avon in 1976. Bernie served in the US Army during Vietnam. He worked at Ford Motor Company retiring in 2016 after 44 years where he was a Materials Replenish Coordinator. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, shooting, he also enjoyed excavating. He was a member of Lake Erie Landlord Association and UAW Local 2000. Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Joanne (nee Troxel), son, Bernard “BJ” (Susan) III, daughter, Stephanie (Dennis) Tyree of Sycamore, Ohio, Grandchildren; Ben, Karly, Sierra, Dakota, Hunter, Trent, Kola, Jace, step-great-granddaughter-Nevaeh, great-grandson Mason, and great-granddaughter Piper. He was preceded in death by his parents, Janet and Bernard Johnson Sr., son, Chad William Johnson, and step grandson Blaise Festini. Private services will be held. Internment with military honors will be held at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Arrangements by Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd. N. Ridgeville.
