Bernard Farrell's Obituary
Bernard J. Farrell, 79 of North Ridgeville passed away Tuesday October 11, 2005 at St. John West Shore Hospital following a long illness.
He was born May 4, 1926 in Dickson City, PA. He lived in Clarks Summit, PA prior to moving to North Ridgeville two years ago.
Mr. Farrell attended the University of Scranton and graduated from the Lackawanna Business School in Lackawanna, PA..
He was employed by PPG for nearly forty years, retiring in 1988.
Mr. Farrell was a WWII US Navy Veteran who was awarded with a Pacific Theater Ribbon, an American Theater Ribbon, and a Victory Medal.
Surviving are his wife of forty-three years, Carolyn (nee Cordelli); daughter, Maureen McKnight; son -in-law, Ed McKnight; grandchild, Meghan McKnight; sister Mary Elizabeth Farrell of Scranton, PA, a nephew and a niece.
He was preceded in death by two sons, John and Robert; his parents Bernard and Gertrude (nee Langan); brother, Robert Farrell; and a sister, Ann Marie Jones.
Friends will be received 4-7PM Friday, October 14 at the at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville where prayers will be said at 9:30AM Saturday.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, Saturday, October 15 at 10AM with Rev. Dr. Richard A. Gonser officiating.
