Bernadine Arendash's Obituary
Bernadine Arendash (nee Bartko), age 88, of Sheffield Village, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the St. John Medical Center in Westlake.
She was born on May 20, 1932 in Charleroi, Pennsylvania and has been a resident of Sheffield Village for the past 34 years. She was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Avon and a former member of St. Teresa of Avila Parish in Sheffield Village. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Loyal order of the Moose, Lodge 778 and V.F.W. Life Member.
In her free time, Bernadine enjoyed crocheting, cooking and baking.
She is survived by her sons Alex (Debbie) Arendash of Sheffield Village and Ron (Sherri) Arendash of Amherst; daughter Joan (Rick) Wencho of Sheffield Village; granddaughters Ashley, Katelyn, Lyndsey, Missy and Jessie Arendash; brother Charles Bartko of Westlake; sisters Joan Timko of Perropolis, PA and Beatrice Buchta of Monongahela, PA.
Bernadine was preceded in death by her husband Anthony Arendash; parents William and Marie (nee Flick) Bartko; brothers William, Thomas and James Bartko; sisters Martha Bartko, Barbara Gardner, Mary LaVerne Steiner and Rozella Bartko.
All Services will be private.
Private entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Avon.
The family suggests donations be made in Bernadine’s name to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
