Becky Vaught's Obituary
Becky J. Vaught (nee Rodgers), age 63, of Elyria, passed away Wednesday, October 4th at the Cleveland Clinic, due to complications from a lung transplant.
Born in Charlotte, Michigan, she was a resident of Elyria for over 20 years.
She worked as an instructor and supervisor with the mentally handicapped with the Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Health for 15 years.
Ms. Vaught was a member of Elyria Foursquare Church where she was active with the bible study group and the women's renewal. She was an active, grateful member of AA. She received the Volunteer Woman of the Year award in 1992-1993 from the Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Health.
Survivors include daughter Norma Betsill of Santa Rosa, California; sons, Mark Gilbert of Brooklyn, David Gilbert of Nashville, Michigan, Jeff Kamms of Carisle Twp.; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Rodney Rogers of Gwinn, Michigan, Bob Rodgers of Mason City, Iowa; sisters, Ann Martell of Camarille, California, Carol Turkus of Okemos, Michigan, Joy Batten of Urbandale, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents Rodney and Virginia Rodgers.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1:00PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Jim Deulley, Pastor of Elyria Foursquare Church, will officiate.
