Beatrice Hurlbut's Obituary
Beatrice M. Hurlbut (nee Hartnagle), age 91 of North Ridgeville passed away Sunday, March 22, 2009 at her residence following a brief illness. She was born December 25, 1917 in Cleveland and had resided in North Ridgeville the past 40 years moving there from Brunswick. She had retired in the early 1980's after a career as a real estate agent. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, North Ridgeville. Beatrice loved to play cards and was a bit of a gambler, traveling twice a year to Las Vegas with her daughter. She belonged to a Poker Club and played cards with friends once a month for the past 37 years. She was also a member of the North Ridgeville Senior Center. Survivors include daughters Juanita (Warren) Larson of Marblehead and Marie Hurlbut Lai of Dayton, sons, Alfred W. Hurlbut of Florida and Joseph A. Hurlbut of North Ridgeville and 11 grandchildren. She is also survived by great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred A. Hurlbut in 1996, her parents, Mabel and Clarence Hartnagle and a sister, Mary Rady. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Wednesday March 25, 2009 in the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville where a prayer service will begin Thursday at 9:30 A.M. followed by her funeral Mass at 10 A.M. at St. Peter Catholic Church 35777 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Rev. Stephen Kaminski, pastor will be the celebrant. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Cleveland.
