Beatrice A. "Nubby" Greer's Obituary
Beatrice A. (“Nubby”) Greer was born July 10, 1927. She was a lifelong resident of Elyria and North Ridgeville. Beatrice is preceded in death by her husband Warren Greer, who passed away in 1998, parents Albert and Kathryn Lapp, sisters Lucille Simcox, Mary Kaiser, brothers Richard and Albert Lapp Jr. She taught Sunday school at Pilgrim Congregational in Elyria and held many offices in VFW. She was the auxiliary President for the Lorain County Council, the auxiliary President of the North Ridgeville post 9871, and the Treasurer of the Ladies VFW auxiliary for thirteen years. Beatrice also bowled in a sanctioned league starting in 1955 and was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame in 2012. In her spare time, she loved to play cards, go dancing, and being with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Beatrice is survived by daughters Dawn (Larry) Smith, Jill (Jim) Adams, Elaine (Duane) Morgan, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
