Barry L. Delaney's Obituary
Barry L. Delaney, age 69, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019 at Life Care Center of Elyria.
He was born in Boston, Massachusetts and had been a resident of North Ridgeville since 1981.
Barry served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
He worked as an auto mechanic for many local dealerships before retiring as a tech consultant for Flaming River Industries in 2014.
He was an avid Browns and OSU fan who also enjoyed watching NASCAR and building model trains.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Diane (nee Tate); children, Scott (Sherry) Warth of Georgia, Cindy (Troy) Jude of LaGrange, Rob (Roseann) Warth of Amherst; grandchildren, Ashley, Andrea, Mathew, Andrew, Travis, Zach and Mackenna; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Cheryl Smith, Wendy (Jim) Messersmith, Micki Stevens, Della (James) Bertino; sister-in-law, Patricia Tate; father -in-law, Richard E. Tate as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Delaney; brother-in-law, Willis Smith; grandparents, Gerald and Louisa (Da & Nana) Smith.
Friends may call Thursday from 4PM until the time of services at 7PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Pastor Jeff Baker will officiate.
