Barbara J. Weekley's Obituary
Barbara J. Weekley (nee Jungeberg), age 86, of Elyria, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Ames Family Hospice House in Westlake.
She was born in Akron and had been a resident of Elyria since 1967.
She worked as a floral designer for several area florists including Wilms, Botamer and Puffers.
Barbara was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Elyria, where she was involved with the Altar Guild.
She enjoyed designing floral arrangements for weddings for family and friends. She also enjoyed crafts, painting and jigsaw puzzles. She was a 4H advisor, teaching the girls in the group how to sew.
Survivors include her children, Barbara (Sam) Mandolesi, John Jr. (Lois) Weekley, Todd (Lonnie) Weekley, Brenda (Brian) Rutherford, Tim (Laura Haywood) Weekley; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Judy (Terry) Gornek, Bill Jungeberg, Debbie Prell; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Jack” Weekley; grandson Adam McNeal; mother, Betty Jean Jungeberg; father, Walter Jungeberg; siblings, Russell, Larry and Gary Jungeberg.
Friends may call Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at 2:00 p.m. at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Eric Mandolesi will officiate. Interment will be private.
