Barbara A. Tanko's Obituary
Barbara A. Tanko, age 66, of Amherst, passed away on February 21, 2021 at the Amherst Manor in Amherst after a lengthy illness.
She was born on November 10, 1954 in Cleveland, grew up in Olmsted Falls and has been a resident of Amherst since 1999, moving from Lorain.
Barbara was a graduate of Olmsted Falls High School and went on to work as an assembler at the Murray Ridge Workshop in Lorain. In her free time, Barbara enjoyed animals and listening to music.
She is survived by her sister Gwynn Whited of Wartburg, TN and brother Michael Tanko of North Royalton.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth Mary (nee Czellath) and Robert Tanko; stepmother Jeanne Tanko; sister Diane Upchurch; infant brother William Robert Tanko.
MEMORIAL SERVICE Saturday, March 27, 2021 HAS BEEN POSTPONED. PLEASE CHECK THE WEBSITE FOR UPDATES. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Amherst Manor, 175 N Lake St, Amherst, OH 44001.
