Barbara Ann Clifford's Obituary
Barbara Ann Clifford (nee Watts), age 81, of Elyria, passed away on
Thursday, September 12, 2024 at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in
Houston, Texas.
Born on November 8, 1942, in Cleveland, Barbara had been a resident of
Elyria for the past 6 years, after moving from North Ridgeville and Rocky
River. She was a devoted member of St. Jude Church in Elyria and a
former parishioner at St. Christopher Church in Rocky River. Alongside her
late husband Robert, she proudly owned and operated the Memory Lane
and Crossroads Hallmark gift shops in the greater Cleveland area for many
years.
Barbara was a passionate reader and enjoyed the challenge of crossword
puzzles and assembling jigsaw puzzles. She loved to travel and spent the
summer months working in her garden. Her greatest joy came from time
spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, who lovingly called her
Grammy- a role she cherished.
Barbara is survived by her children Janet (Keith) Wooddell of The
Woodlands, TX, Rob (Myke) Clifford-Williamson of North Ridgeville and
Jacqueline (Jeremy) Stratton of North Ridgeville; her adored grandchildren
Casey, Keeley, Megan, Delaney, Sydney and Riley; sisters Arlene Stanch
and Margie Stecki; brother-in-law William Clifford; sisters-in-law Jane
Jagels-Romeo and Joan Sords, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Robert H.
Clifford Jr, and her parents Ira and Pearl (nee Semenchuk) Watts.
Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Thursday, September
