Artie Dorsey's Obituary
Artie M. Dorsey, age 75, of Eaton Township, passed away Sunday at his home following a long illness.
He was born in Marfrance, West Virginia and had been a resident of Eaton Township since 1957 moving from Elyria.
Mr. Dorsey was the owner and operator of Midview Sunoco Service Station from 1965-1974. He was a volunteer firefighter and dispatcher for the Eaton Township Fire Department from 1967-1983.
He was a member of North Eaton Baptist Church and the Lagrange Masonic Lodge No. 399. He enjoyed turkey shooting, singing and recording gospel music and was active in his community.
Survivors include his sons Christopher and Samuel Dorsey both of Eaton Township; 6 grandchildren and his brother, Buddy Joe Dorsey of Summersville, West Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Dorsey (nee Dolan) in 1983; his father Luther Dorsey, mother Flossie McClung and grandson Derek Dorsey in 1984.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 PM Wednesday at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Services will be held 12 Noon Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township.
