Arthur G. Reichow's Obituary
Arthur G. Reichow, age 86, of North Royalton, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home following a long illness.
He was born in Cleveland and had lived in Elyria for the past 20 years before moving back to North Royalton where he lived from 1959-1985. He had also lived in North Ridgeville.
He served in the US Army during the Korean War.
Arthur worked as a carpenter for over 40 years for several local contractors.
He was a charter member of the North Royalton Lions Club and a member of the Gyros Social Club in Elyria. He was also an avid golfer.
Survivors include his daughters, Cynthia (Paul) Palmentera and Kathryn (Robert) Kraft both of North Royalton, Judith (Ashok) Marathe of Las Vegas; son, James (Louise) Reichow of Mountain Top, Pennsylvania; step-daughter, Charlotte (Gregory) Brown of North Ridgeville; grandchildren Kristin, Eric, Katie, Andy, Kaitlin, Bobby, Mandy, Megan, Amanda, Aaron, and Austin; great-grandchildren Ally, Connor, Paige, Joey, Zack, Jami, Jessi, and Quinnlynn; brother, Melvin (Karen) Reichow of Easley, South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marian in 1995; 2nd wife Kay in 2005; parents, George and Ruth (nee Meyer) Reichow; great-granddaughter, Kaylee Posa; sisters, Phyllis Morgan and Maxine Lynn.
A Memorial Service with Full Military Honors conducted by V.F.W. 9871, North Ridgeville will be held on Wednesday, January 13 at 11:00 a.m.at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate.
