Arthur Houp's Obituary
Arthur F. Houp, age 77, of North Ridgeville, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at New Life Hospice Residential Center, Lorain, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Cleveland, he was a resident of North Ridgeville for 46 years.
Arthur worked as a machine operator for General Motors in Parma, retiring in 1985.
He was a member of UAW Local 1005 and enjoyed camping.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Naomi Houp (nee Hefner); sons, David and Jim both of North Ridgeville and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Catherine ; son, Michael; parents, Albert and Bessie Houp; four brothers and one sister.
Friends may call Thursday from 5:00 PM until the time of service at 8:00 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Pastor Richard G. Schluep will officiate.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Muscular Dystrophy Assoc., PO Box 78960, Phoenix, AZ 85062-8960.
