Arthur Callahan's Obituary
Arthur Callahan, age 80 of North Ridgeville, passed away Tuesday July 20, 2010 at his home following a short illness.
He was born in Seco, KY, and had resided in North Ridgeville the past 40 years.
Mr. Callahan served in the US Army for 20 years earning the rank of Master Sergeant.
He then went on to work for Ohio Bell for 23 years retiring in 1992. He was a member of Communications Workers of America and N. Ridgeville Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife, Alicia (nee Hamblin) daughters, Marie Peshek of N. Ridgeville, H. Susan (Dave) Kaspar of Grafton, Debbie Callahan of N. Ridgeville, Sons Wayne (Tammy) Callahan of N. Ridgeville and Kimmer (Vicki) Callahan of Columbus, 5 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren, and his Sister, Marjorine Morgan of Summerset, KY.
He was preceded in death by his Father, Oscar Callahan, Mother, Della Turner, four brothers, James, Raymond, Kimmer and Johnny and two sisters, Helen Callahan and Marie Webb.
Friends will be received Friday from 6-9 PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Services will be held 10 AM Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Bobby Blackburn officiating.
Interment will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon, where the VFW Post 9871 will conduct full honors.
