Arline Schafer's Obituary
Arline Schafer (nee Schwartz), age 90 of Elyria, died Sunday morning, September 10 at Center Ridge Health Campus, North Ridgeville following a long illness.
She was born July 11, 1916 in Cleveland. She had resided in Elyria the past 11 years having moved from Espyville, PA where she had lived for 20 years. She previously lived in North Olmsted.
Mrs. Schafer worked as a operator for Bell Telephone Company in Cleveland and Brecksville for 35 years retiring in 1982.
She was a member of Ohio Bell Pioneers, Cleveland, Senior Citizens Group in Espyville, PA.
Surviving are her Son, Harold "Butch" and daughter- in- law Patty Schafer of Elyria; and two grandchildren, Scott Schafer of Ashland and Gina Best of Wellington; four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Mother Lillian Selepchak, step-father Andrew Selepchak, and brother, Russell Schwartz.
Private interment will be in Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens, Meadville, PA.
