Archie Watson's Obituary
Archie T. Watson, age 82, of Marblehead, passed away Wednesday at St. Mary of The Woods, Avon, following a long illness.
Born in North Ridgeville, he was a resident of Marblehead the past 16 years having moved from Elyria. He spent many winters in Bradenton, Florida.
Mr. Watson was president of Chapin Trucking Line, North Ridgeville, for 50 years retiring in 1994.
He was a former member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, North Ridgeville and King Solomon Lodge F. and A.M., Elyria and former member of 32nd Degree Mason Scottish Rite of Valley of Cleveland, Al Koran Shrine, Cleveland where he was a past president of the Fire Brigade.
He enjoyed golfing, boating, traveling in his RV and spending time with family.
Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Jean (nee Reynolds); son, A. Thomas of Avon Lake; daughter, Cheryle Watson of Sheffield Village; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marian Watson in 1990; son, Timothy J. Watson in 2005; sister, Dorothy Novak in 1974 and parents, Archie T. Watson Sr.and Arlene Watson(nee Gilder).
Friends may call Friday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where services will be held on Saturday at 10:00AM. Rev. James Peter, New Life Hospice Chaplin, will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
