Anthony Magnani's Obituary
Anthony Joseph Magnani, age 73 of Avon, died Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at his home following an illness of one year.
He was born April 14, 1933 in Cleveland. He had lived in Avon the past six years having moved from North Olmsted.
He worked as a Supervisor of the Composing Room for the Cleveland Press Newspaper and worked for Alesci's in North Olmsted. He also delivered flowers for various westside floral shops in recent years.
He served in the US Army during the Korean War.
Surviving are his wife of eight years, Dianne Magnani (nee Weinkamer); Son, Vincent Magnani (Sonja) of North Ridgeville; two step-sons, Jeffrey Wittlinger (Deneen) of Clarksville, TN, Mark Wittlinger (Cathryn) of Wellington; three grandchildren, Marcus, Matthew and Emily Wittlinger; and his brother, Daniel Magnani (Donna) of Strongsville.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Rose Marie (nee Alabise) Magnani in 1990; parents, Aldo and Rose Magnani; and one brother Aldo Magnani.
Friends will be received 6-9PM, Friday, December 8 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, where military honors will be held at 8:30 PM. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Saturday at John Knox Presbyterian Church 25200 Lorain Road, North Olmsted. Reverend Tomas MacMillan and Reverend Carol Duffy will co-officiate.
