Annie Covey's Obituary
AnnieBelle Covey (nee Saylor), age 94, of Wellington, passed from this life to her heavenly home on Friday, November 12, 2021.
She was born on May 21, 1927 in Pulaski, Virginia and has lived in Wellington for the past 16 years, moving from North Eaton, where she had been a longtime resident. She was a longtime member at North Eaton Baptist Church.
Annie was very giving, always donating to Well Help in Wellington among many charities. She was an avid quilter, was very involved in her church, and cherished time spent with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Annie is survived by her daughters Dana (Roger) Hill of Lagrange, Trish (Don) McDevitt of Wellington, Janice (Mark) Ritchey of Eaton Township and Melinda (Chris) Jordan of Wellington; 15 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; sisters Lottie Smith, Doris Simmerman, Ruby Richardson, Judy Trivett and Barbara Bundy; brother Garland Eads.
She was preceded in death by her husband Marion Eugene Covey, son Dennis Lee Covey; daughter Darlene Baechle; granddaughter Rachel Noel Ritchey; parents William Alfred Saylor and Relia Ann Eads; sisters Okie Wright and Shirley Coffey; brother Charlie Saylor.
Funeral Service Tuesday, November 16 at 12:00 p.m. at the North Eaton Baptist Church, 12109 S. Reed Rd., Eaton Township, where family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Rev. Stephen Carter will officiate. Interment will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Twp.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Annie’s name to North Eaton Baptist Church for the roof fund.
