Annette Ford-Longacre's Obituary
Annette S. Ford-Longacre (nee Sumner), age 86, of North Ridgeville, died on Sunday evening at North Ridge Health Center, North Ridgeville; following a long illness.
She was born in Coddingville, OH and had been a resident of North Ridgeville the past two and a half years; having moved from Massillon, OH.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Massillon.
She worked as a manager for the World Book Encyclopedia Company twenty-five years; until her retirement in 1985.
Mrs. Longacre loved music. Her career in music began at the age of four when she starred in Vaudeville Shows with her parents. She played the piano, cello, and saxophone. She was a gifted singer and performed as a soloist. She also served as a choir director and dance instructor.
Survivors include her sons, Roger (Carol) Ford, of North Ridgeville and Russell Ford, of Los Angeles, CA; one granddaughter, Melanie Diroll, of Phoenix, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Bertha (nee Cronenberger) Sumner; brother, Truman Sumner and sister, Truth Courtney. Burial will take place at the Coddingville Cemetery, Coddingville, OH. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimer Association, 12200 Fairhill Road, Cleveland, OH 44106.
