Anne M. Shank's Obituary
Anne M. Shank (nee Saporito), age 99, of Avon, passed away on Monday, August 8, 2022 at the Cleveland Clinic in Avon.
She was born to Rose and Benedetto Saporito on January 27, 1923 in Wellington, Ohio and graduated from Wellington High School in 1941.
Anne worked at First Wellington Bank, managed the office of Sam Ross and Sons and also worked for Dr. Brandon.
She loved taking care of and being with her big Italian family.
She was a member of St. Peter Church in North Ridgevillle where she was active with the Mother’s Club.
Anne enjoyed gardening, crocheting, needlepoint and cooking for her family.
Survivors include her son, Gary (Ramona) Shank of Westlake, grandsons, Brian (Dee Dee) Shank and Stephen Anthony Shank, many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter “Bob” Shank, son, Gilbert Anthony Shank, sister, Nellie Browand, brothers, Tony, Carl, Sam, Joseph and Charles Saporito, parents, Benny and Rose (nee Marlette) Saporito.
Friends may call Friday from 1 pm until the time of service at 2pm at Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Rev Bob Franco will officiate.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
