Anna Welch's Obituary
Anna M. Welch, (nee Vincent), age 81, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 6, 2012, at the Renaissance Nursing Home in Olmsted Township after a lengthy illness.
Anna was born on March 12, 1930 in Wayland, KY. She has been a resident of Elyria since 1976, moving from LaGrange.
Anna was a nursing assistant, working at E.M.H. Regional Medical Center until her retirement in 1983.
She was a member of the Midway Baptist Church, where she was a part of the church's Silver Saints. She enjoyed travelling, reading, spending time in her garden and canning her harvest. Her greatest joy though, was spending time with her grandchildren and family.
Anna is survived by her daughter Brenda Meschke of Elyria; granddaughter Whitney Meschke of Toledo, grandson Michael Meschke of Elyria; brother Billy Joe Vincent of Lexington, KY and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by husbands Curtis Slone in 1966 and Joseph Andrew Welch in 2001; parents John and Goldie Vincent; brother John Vincent and sister Mary Stewart.
Friends may call on Sunday, January 8 from 4-7 p.m. at the Midway Baptist Church, 41812 Griswold Road, Elyria, 44035, where Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Charles A. Keesee will officiate. Interment will follow in River Road Cemetery in LaGrange Township. Arrangements by Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.
