Ann H. Tompkins' Obituary
Ann H. Tompkins (nee Haralampous), age 76, of Elyria, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015 at New Life Hospice Residential Center in Lorain, following a short illness.
She was born in North Ridgeville and had been a lifelong resident of Elyria and a 1957 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School.
She worked as a foreman for Manoir Electro Alloy for many years, retiring in 1999.
She was a dedicated sponsor to the Friends of Bill W. and enjoyed reading, playing BINGO, watching Ohio sports teams and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan Smink of Elyria; son James Tompkins Jr. of Phoenix; grandchildren, Bradley Becker, Lauren Mahle, Cole Mahle, Eric Tompkins, Brennan and Hayden Tompkins; great-grandchildren, Lucas and Carson Mahle; sisters, Maxine Kuna and Mary (Lou) Resko; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Marie Rose (nee Waldecker) Haralampous; 4 sisters and 2 brothers.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Fr. Bob Franco, Pastor, will be the celebrant.
Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 10501 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106.
