Ann Elizabeth Hurn's Obituary
Ann Elizabeth Hurn (nee Shannon), age 91, of Elyria, passed away on January 7, 2017 at the O’Neill Healthcare Center in North Ridgeville after a lengthy illness.
She was born on December 17, 1925 in St. Clairsville, Ohio and has lived in North Ridgeville for the past 2 years, moving from Lorain.
She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, working in her flower garden and attending the sporting events of her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Larry (Lana) Hurn of Mt. Airy, N.C., daughter Nancy (Daniel) O’Dell of Elyria; grandchildren Karen Clark of N.C., Kenneth (Renata) Hurn of Painesville, Laura Hurn of AZ, Mike (Claudia) Hurn of N.C., David Gordon of N.C., Julie (Daniel) Wade of North Ridgeville, Clint (Shannon) Lawson of Sandusky and Kevin Lawson of Elyria; great grandchildren Robin, Andrew and Ashley Clark of AZ, Zachary, Andrew and Nathan Wade of North Ridgeville, Ava, Anneka, Annelies and Adeline Lawson of Sandusky and Ryder and Elena Lawson of Elyria; many nieces and nephews.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Lawrence Hurn; parents Harold and Myrtle Shannon; brothers Clifford, Harold and Charles Shannon; sister Mary Verardi.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, N. Ridgeville on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Funeral Services Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate. Interment will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Lorain.
