Andrew M Hanchosky's Obituary
Andrew M. Hanchosky, age 80, of Homerville, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015, at the home of his daughter.
He was born in Latrobe, Pennsylvania and had been a resident of Homerville since 2007. He previously lived in Ruggles for 11 years and North Ridgeville for 40 years.
Andrew worked as a millwright for Ford Motor Company for 20 years at the Brookpark Foundry, retiring in 1996. He had also worked as a carpenter with Del Lumber in Elyria and Great Lakes Sash and Door Co. in Cleveland.
He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Savannah, and a former member of Sugar Ridge Baptist Church in North Ridgeville, where he was in charge of the building project to construct the fellowship hall.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, singing, visiting nursing homes, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his sons, William (Alice) of Harpersfield, Jerry of North Ridgeville; daughter, Andrea “Amy” (Jim) Morris of Homerville; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bobby of Cleveland, Donnie of Clendenin, West Virginia and sister, Betz Nosse of Sheffield.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean in 2008; father, Andrew, mother, Joann Batteiger and brothers, Charlie, Frank and Richie.
Friends may call Thursday from 4-8PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville. Services will be held on Friday at 11 AM in the funeral home.
Rev. John Bouquet will officiate.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
