Alta M. Kibbe's Obituary
Alta M. Kibbe (nee Phillips), age 90, of Elyria, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2017 at Wesleyan Village.
She was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of Elyria for the past 10 years, moving from Columbia Station.
Alta worked for Industrial Wire Products for 22 years.
She enjoyed decorating cakes and was a former member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Club. The summer months would find Alta working in her garden, and planting flowers around her yard.
Survivors include her daughters, Nadine (Terry) Burke of North Ridgeville, Diane Thompson of Elyria; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and half-brother, Eddie James of Salem.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Kibbe in 2007; son-in- law Jack Thompson; granddaughter Pamela Thompson; great grandson Steven Burke; parents John and Anna Louise (nee Bellerson) Phillips
Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville where services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Alan Jenkins will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
