Allen "Ben" Barnett's Obituary
Allen “Ben” Barnett, age 68, of North Ridgeville passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at University Hospital Elyria Medical Center, following a short illness.
He was born in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for over 50 years, moving from Westlake.
He retired in 1991 with the rank of Captain from the North Ridgeville Fire Department, where he worked for 20 years.
Ben enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, working on Hot Rod cars and playing cards with his friends.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Louise (nee Obitts); daughter, Bonnie (Matt) Baum of Bay Village; granddaughter, Ariah Baum; sisters, Barbara Barnett of Colorado Springs, CO, Beryl (Kensel) Evans of Jacksonville, North Carolina; brothers, Barry (Lee) Barnett of Elyria; Bradley (Trudy) Barnett of North Ridgeville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard and Betty Jean Barnett.
Friends may call Monday from 5-8PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.
Private burial will be in Sugar Ridge Cemetery, North Ridgeville.
