Alicia Callahan's Obituary
Alicia Callahan (nee Hamblin), age 81, of North Ridgeville, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Main Street Care Center in Avon Lake after a short illness.
She was born on August 17, 1936 in Hyden, Kentucky and has been a resident of North Ridgeville for the past 48 years. She was a member of the North Ridgeville Church of Christ in North Ridgeville.
Alicia enjoyed gardening, quilting and cooking for her family, a passion for which she passed on to her family who will continue to pass along her recipes for generations to come.
She is survived by her daughters Marie (Bob) Mickelson of Amherst and Susan (Dave) Kaspar of Grafton; sons Wayne (Tammy) Callahan of North Ridgeville and Kimmer (Victoria) Callahan of Columbus; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren with her fifth great granddaughter due in August; brother Isaac Hamblin of Hamilton; sisters Edna (Larkin) Maggard of Hyden, KY and Barbara (Larry) of Hamilton; many nieces and nephews.
Alicia was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Callahan; daughter Debbie Callahan; parents Woolery B. and Kayla Powers (nee Stidham) Hamblin; brothers Irvin, John, Hobart, Lige, Dudley and Woolery Hamblin; sisters Dori and Susan.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville of Thursday from 5-7 p.m. Funeral Service will be on Friday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
The family requests donations be made in Alicia’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, 23215 Commerce Park Dr., Ste. 300, Beachwood, OH 44122.
