Alice L. Mackert's Obituary
Alice L. Mackert (nee Hartman), age 83, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015 at the home of her daughter in North Ridgeville, following a long illness.
She was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Olmsted for most of her life before moving to North Ridgeville 5 years ago.
Alice worked as an office secretary for most of her career.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church in North Ridgeville.
She enjoyed gardening, traveling and studying genealogy.
Survivors include her daughters, Michelle (Ron) Nagy of Parma, Kathy (Russ) Chomoa of North Ridgeville, Heidi (Bill) Morris of North Olmsted, Gretchen (Phil) Ziegler of Greenbrier, Arkansas; many grandchildren; sisters, Charlotte Fore of Temple City, California, Margaret (Stan) Kalasunis of Lakewood; brothers, David Paltani of Kent, David Novotny of Granite City, California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Justin Mackert; son, Michael “Marty” Juhn; sisters, Georgina Hartman, Eleanore Kitko; brothers, Kenneth, Ronald and Thomas Hartman; mother, Margaret Ryan and her father, George Hartman.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-5PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville where a prayer service will be held on Monday at 9:30AM followed by a 10 AM Mass at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd. Rev. Bob Franco will be the celebrant.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Westlake.
