Mrs Stitt, I was so sorry to hear the news this morning, all of my fondest childhood memories were surrounded by your family and the families of the DBE. The thing I will always remember is the laughter from the driveway of our house after being sent to bed. You were a great friend to my mom and I know she loved you very much. Dear Aunt Maggie, Laura and Allan.
It is with a heavy heart that I send my condolences on the passing of Uncle Alex, we have many many great memories of all the visits back and forth when we were younger. Although time has moved most of us in different directions our memories will always be with us. We always had such great laughs when we were together and hopefully we will always rememberthe good time with Uncle Alex.
We will raise a glass to him today.

I remember every Christmas with my mom and dad at your house always with the biggest tree and the most presents and all the laughs. Then New Years day at our house. The funniest story about Alex was about Margaret making soup and Alex spotting the bugs floating around with the barley Not bad for a blind man! I spent most of my life with you all, all the way back to Detroit and always looked forward to the holidays.
I am sure Alex and Jimmy are having a drink right now. Love to you all.

it is sad that it takes Alex's passing to reconnect. Every holiday we think of the times with Gladys and Jimmy and the wee drams involved in the celebration. Alex was so funny and his humor was so subtle you could be on the way home before finally getting it.
