Alex "Butch" Michael Marcelli's Obituary
Alex Michael Marcelli, age 75, of North Ridgeville, passed away on Monday, January 24, 2022, at St. John Medical Center in Westlake. He was born in Cleveland and had been a resident of North Ridgeville for 20 years, moving from Westlake. Alex worked as a Highway Inspector for the Sate of Ohio, retiring in 2001.
Alex was an avid sports fan and was especially fond of college sports.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Gerry (nee Hartory) Marcelli and sister, Joy Vargas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary (nee Scibana) Marcelli and brother-in-law, Henry Vargas.
Family will receive friends at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, on Monday from 11:30 until the time of a 12: 30 prayer service preceding a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. Rev. Joe Robinson will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Avon.
