Albert Valentine's Obituary
Albert Valentine, age 71, of Columbia Station, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at St. John Medical Center in Westlake following a lengthy battle with cancer.
He was born in Cosby, Tennessee and had been a resident of Columbia Station for the past 41 years moving from Cleveland.
Albert was a self-employed construction and maintenance worker.
He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Cleveland.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and hunting. He also coached Little League baseball in the 1970’s and 80’s.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Carolyn (nee Pelfrey); daughter, Crystal Valentine of Columbia Station; sons, Albert and Curtis Valentine both of Columbia Station; son-in-law, Todd Goode of Middleburg Hts.; grandchildren, Amanda, Samantha, Serena, Ethan, Violet, Jorja and AJ; great-grandson, Keegan; sisters, Marcie (JC) Shorter of Sterling, Donna (Bobby) Schultz of Parma, Shirley Waite of Elyria and Christine Hale of Newbury; brother, Bobby Joe Valentine of Elyria; brother-in-law, Lenny Olsen of Crossville, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Ruby (nee Romrines) Valentine; grandson, Dewey Chance Valentine; father and mother-in-law, Sherman and Mildred Pelfrey; sister, Brenda Olsen.
Friends may call Saturday from 2PM until the time of service at 4PM at the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville. His nephew, Rev. David Shorter will officiate. Further services will be held 1 PM Monday at Bilbrey Funeral Home in Crossville, Tennessee where the family will receive friends from 12 noon until time of services.
Burial will be in Haley Grove Cemetery in Crab Orchard, Tennessee.
