Albert Squires' Obituary
Albert C. Squires, age 89 of North Ridgeville died Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at the Cleveland Clinic following a short illness.
He was born July 3, 1915 in Hubbard, Ohio. He had resided in Eaton Township for over 50 years moving to North Ridgeville two years ago.
He worked as a Journeymen/Tool and Die Maker for Moen in Elyria, retiring in 1980 after 20 years.
Mr. Squires loved reading, many times he would read 5 to 7 books a week, he also enjoyed fishing, gardening hunting, bowling and teaching his grandchildren.
He enjoyed bowling with the Senior League at Brunswick lanes. He also volunteered at the North Ridgeville Senior Center, where he delivered meals on wheels. He was a former member of Eagles in Elyria and the Eaton Grange.
He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Squires of North Ridgeville, her fiancee Joseph Warren of Littleton, NC; Stepson, Jacob F. Bruce of Waynesburg, PA; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by wife Alice in 1996, parents, Thomas and Pauline (nee Confoey) Squires, brother, Elmer Squires and sister Lena Fahey.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9, Friday, January 21 at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville.
Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday in the funeral home. Reverend Jeff Kephart, Pastor of Trinity Missionary Church, Middleburg Heights will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township.
