Albert Hintz's Obituary
Albert F. Hintz, 82 of North Ridgeville died Friday, May 26, 2006 at Life Care Center of Elyria following complications from a stroke.
Mr. Hintz taught physical education and science for forty years at Madison Elementary School in Lakewood and also for other schools within the Lakewood City School system, retiring in 1983. He was a WWII US Navy Veteran and member of the North Ridgeville VFW Post 9871. He was also a former member of the North Ridgeville Lions Club.
Albert was known as the Mr. fix it of the family. He enjoyed fishing, boating in Miami during the winter months, and traveling to all fifty states. His favorite trip had been his last Alaskan cruise which he had taken with his wife before she passed away.
Surviving are his daughter Judi Phillips ( Dean ) of Cincinnati; two grandchildren; and his brother, William Hintz of North Ridgeville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Dudik Hintz in 2001; parents, Franklin and Irene; and brothers, Frank and Herbert..
Friends will be received from 5-8 PM Tuesday, May 30 at the at the David Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, where a Parastas service will be held at 8:00PM.Services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Fr. Basil Stoyka, Pastor of SS Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, Lorain officiating.
Interment will follow in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested towards a charity of the donor's choice in Albert's memory.
