Agnes L. Valenta's Obituary
Agnes L. Valenta (nee Zeleznikar), age 96, of North Ridgeville, passed away peacefully at home with her family, on Monday, July 22, 2024. Agnes was preceded in death by her sons, Frank and James, siblings, Marie Newell, Ann Vodicka, Sr. M. Elise, Frank Zeleznikar, Edward Zell and Theresa Hoover, daughter of the late Frank and Mary Zeleznikar. She worked as a secretary when she was not raising her own seven children. She was a strict but very loving mother. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, reading, and shopping. She was a selfless and generous soul who always put others first. Agnes was the ultimate matriarch who will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her son John (Janice) Valenta, daughters, Mary Valenta Bertrand, Kathy Valenta (Phil Sain), Annie (Randy) Pacelli, and Jackie Mazzola. She was grandmother to Kevin, David, Jimmy, Amanda, Michael, Lauren, Rachel, Brian, and Kaitlyn. Great grandmother to David, Adam, Mallorie, Carter, Ariana, Nora, Emery, Abel, Phoebe, and Cade.
The family will receive friends Friday July 26, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. Mass of Christian Burial will take place 1pm Saturday at St. Julie Billiart Catholic Church, 5500 Lear Nagle Rd N. Ridgeville (Please meet at church). Rev. Robert Franco, Pastor will be the celebrant. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Avon. Agnes's family welcomes everyone to celebrate her life with a dinner/reception at Bogner Life Celebration 7295 Greenlawn Drive (directly across from the Funeral Home, immediately following the burial.
