Thelma Louise Snell

March 21, 1935 - March 28, 2022

Thelma Louise Snell (nee Cain), age 87, of Cleveland, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022 at the O’Neill Healthcare Center in North Ridgeville. She was born on March 21, 1935 in Washington, Pennsylvania and has been a lifelong resident of Cleveland, moving there at 8 years old. Thelma worked as an operator and in ticket sales at the Greyhound Bus Station in Cleveland, retiring after 36 years of service. In her free time, Thelma was an avid reader who enjoyed the work of Stephen King. She also loved watching horror movies, board games, and traveling to casinos with her family, where the slots were her favorite. Thelma always had poodles, but more recently had a best friend in her daughter Debbie’s German Shepherd Raven. She will always be remembered for her baking, with her family left to carry on the recipes she shared with them and made together over the years. Thelma is survived by her daughters Debbie Snell of Cleveland and Thelma Gindlesberger of Millersburg; son-in-law Gerald Zapior of Ashland; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Cheryl Zapior; parents Franklin Reed and Adah Belle (nee McCoy) Cain; sister Gwendolyn Bowes; brother Freeman Cain. Funeral Service Friday, April 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, where family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Rev. Chuck Behrens will officiate. Entombment will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
