So many wonderful memories of good times spent with my cousin Mike…from Chatham Ave. - the backyard, the scary basement, the corner bar, all of us kids sleeping upstairs (with the chamber pot!!), soap in the mouth from his Mom (our dear Auntie E)…hanging out reading comic books in his room on Root Rd., listening to him playing the drums so well (always wished I could play!), sleeping out in the big army tent & being intentionally scared by his Dad, building tree forts in the woods behind the house, riding the ponies and ‘working’ with his Dad (dear Uncle Mac) doing pony rides at church events and other places, fishing at Rocky River, running around as teens in his blue Falcon or my brown Comet or Kathy’s Corvair (probably whoever had gas!), going to see his bands play all over the place, drinking coffee in the kitchen, family gatherings in the ‘back room’ with so much delicious food made by our Aunts and Grandma, the fun of Little Italy as kids, hanging out with the entire family on Grandma’s porch, his enlistment in the Navy, swimming at Crystal Springs, partying with John F., Johnny D., George D. – and then we all had to grow up, have kids, and get busy with our adult lives! Mike, you left us too soon, but we will meet again in Heaven and we can reminisce again. And don’t forget, Mikey…I will forever be four days older than you! Rest in peace. Love you always. Our condolences to Kathy and all of our family members. Patti
