Jeffrey T. Rozga

It’s in deep sadness that my beloved husband Jeffrey T. Rozga, age 64, of Elyria, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at his home after a brief illness. He was born on October 31, 1960, in Berea, and has been a lifelong resident of Elyria. Jeff was a 1979 graduate of Elyria High School and went on to work at the R. W. Beckett Corporation, proudly serving there for the past 45 years, where he was the Technical Sales Representative. He cherished the time he spent at home with his family and dogs, Dina the Destroyer and Chewbocca. Jeff and his wife Christine traveled extensively together, as well as going on many adventures on their Harley Davidson motorcycles. He was a huge Cleveland Browns Fan and season ticket holder, enjoying many games with his nephews Chris and Matt, and also loved the Detroit Red Wings hockey team along with the Michigan Wolverines, Go Blue! Jeff was always looking forward to his yearly trips to Cleveland with his cousins, Laura and Bob and the wonderful clambakes held at his sister and brother-in-law’s home, Sharon and Richard. Those clambakes led to the notorious Cornhole games in which Jeff could not wait to beat his dad, Jim. His love for competition extended to his beloved wife's family as he was always part of a Friday night poker game with his father-in-law, Paul Boyko, and close friends. He cherished the time afield hunting with his beloved granddaughter Mia. Jeff enjoyed countless Spaghetti dinners made by his mother-in-law, Mary, and his mother, Mari Lou’s sauerkraut balls. Once a year he shared life stories with his wonderful neighbors at the annual block party. As a hobby he made his own beer and wine and became an avid golfer. He was a lifelong member of the Polish club. Jeff is survived by his wife, Christine (nee Boyko); stepson Christopher Parron; step grandchildren Mia Parron, Lily Kreis and Remy Parron; parents Mari Lou (nee Horvath) and James Rozga; siblings Sharon (Richard) Balog, Karen (Thomas) Mallow and Joel (Michelle) Rozga; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. A Celebration of Jeff’s Life will be held at the Russia Township Lodge, 46300 Butternut Ridge Road Oberlin, Ohio 44074, on Sunday, August 3, 2025, from 12:00-5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made in Jeff’s name to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the A.P.L. or the Lymphoma Society.
