Helen and family, we are so sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
Dear Kim, Bob and Jim,
I think of you often and cannot believe how much time has gone by since we have seen you. I did not realize your father was ill, and was so sorry to learn of his passing. I know with your very strong family bond, you will each take care of each other with sincere devotion. My family and I love you all and pray for God's hands to comfort you.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers. I will be thinking of you all.
Dear Nash Family,
My deepest sympathies to all of you.
Betty Bridges Drennen
My thoughts are with you all during this sad time. Having never met Will, it is still obvious how much he will be missed in reading the comments of others.
I have found it difficult to type and cry at the same time. I have found my life in Santa Cruz, CA for many years, so I have not seen the decline of my Father. As a result, I will always have his "youthful" image in my mind. My Dad was vibrant, full of life,no matter what was happening around him, he found a dry wit and lived a full life. I am proud of him for doing that. When I last called to talk to him, he had said, "Sue, next time you see me, you won't be looking at me, you'll be looking down." His joke of a way to tell me he was ready to pass. Well, Daddy, what I did'nt get to say at that time, due to my shock, was, "No, Daddy, I won't be looking down, I'll be looking up!" He is an Angel now and I suppose a mischievious one at that! Love and Hugs, Ocean

He loved football, Steelers, of course and was always joking with the quick wit. He had a lot of interest and didn't just retire doing nothing. He made lead soldiers, read a LOT, built model planes and trucks and enjoyed watching football games. He loved his 'Hillbilly' music and Bluegrass. He will be missed.
My parents have been living with me & my family for the last 5 years, & during almost all of that time my dad was very ill. We spent a lot of time at doctor's offices the first 3 years after they moved up here until he went on in-home hospice care 2 years ago. What is most impressive I think for me thinking back on all that is through all of those things (not to mention everything else he's endured in his lifetime prior to their move here), he always had something funny to say or found something to laugh about. It wasn't until a few days before he passed that that his sense of humor was gone, & only then because he was no longer "dad". I thank God for instilling in him the ability to laugh no matter what the hardship was he was facing & I admire that quality about him the most.
I love you & miss you dearly, Dad. We all do.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
