My Aunt Dorothy Hoffstetter Hertzel spoke so fondly of Skip. Aunt Dorothy married my mother's brother - Franklin Hertzel.
My prayers go out to Skip's family. I met him just a few times when I happened to be over their Brooklyn home so many years ago.
Just wanted the Hoffstetter family to know how proud Aunt Dorothy spoke and thought of Skip. I'm sure they are gathering together now in our Lord's presence.
My condolences and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
Skip was a very honerable and respected man, both on and off the police force. He always treated me with respect and kindness whenever we crossed paths. My prayers go out to him and his family.
skip was a good man. Anytime I saw him he was polite and treated me like I was one of his own. Skip was also very funny and would have the room laughing the moment he walked in. those moments are my the fondest for me, and I'll miss him greatly.
I was '63 and 'Skip' was '64.
One of those people that you don't want to forget. He was a really great person.
My condolences to his family.
We are so sorry for the loss of Skip. Your family has always been a special one to us as our boys have grown up together into fine young men. Our thoughts, prayers and love are with you....
Skip was a remarkable man and an even more remarkable father. Perhaps the fondest aspect of his life was being able to work with the youth of North Ridgeville and the surrounding areas to educate them on the dangers of drugs and alcohol, as well as being someone to come to for help, guidance, or even a listening ear. He loved to serve his community and help others, and for this he will be forever remembered. Rest in peace, dad.
