I always loved Virgil! He was one "Good Lookin" Father-In-Law and I loved to hear him play his Banjo. I met Virgil when I was thirteen years old. He was like a dad to me and I will miss him more than words can say.He touched the lives of so many people with his kindness and love for music. This is a very difficult time for our family but we must know that Virgil is at peace. There is no more pain or suffering for him. He is up in Heaven "pickin and a grinin" and I know my dad is singin along with him. Someday we too will sing with him again. Virgil will live on in our hearts forever with all of the memories we share and pass on to his grandchildren that he loved so very much. He will always be their Pap-Paw Virgil! There will always be a huge void in our lives that noone can ever replace. Virgil was one of a kind! My heart is broken and I'll surely miss him! Love always, Judy Lynn

Some of my fondest memories of growing up were going to Uncle Vernon's house and listening to him and Virgil making music. I knew then that thats what I wanted to do. Your Dad took me under his wing and taught me to play the guitar and have the love of the music and to feel the music come from your heart and out your fingers and through the instrument so others may feel the joy that you have to share. When Vernon went home to his reward there was an empty spot in my heart, but not for long. Virgil filled that void completely. I loved to play our music together. He taught me not only the ways of music, but the ways of life and how to treat everyone you meet and to "Keep On The Sunny Side Of Life". I'll miss him, but I know I'll see him again. And as the song says" You'll know me in the morning, by the smile that I wear. When I meet you in the morning, in the city that's built four square". Love & Prayers ...Johnny

Pat, Bill, and Luke, Our hearts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time of sorrow. I hope you find peace in knowing that he is no longer suffering and is in Heaven playing sweet music for the Lord and all to hear. We always enjoyed coming out to your house visiting, especially staying the night and having Virgil's southern breakfast that he would cook in the morning. He will be deeply missed by all. Much love, the Dolin family.
Pat,
Vonnie and I just wanted you to know that our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. When Sis told me about Virgil I was speechless.I could'nt believe it. My fondest memory of Virgil is playing with him.

Patti,
Our hearts are heavy as we try to share your loss; Virgil was loved by all of us and will be missed. Take comfort in knowing that he left this world a far better place by being here, and that somewhere in heaven some gospel group just got one fantastic musician to make sweet music for eternity,
We love you and will be here for you,
Tim and Louise
To the Dobbins family: Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of sorrow. Vergil was a strong and mighty man in our eyes. He had many talents and shared them with many. never faltering to show his love of music to any and all that were around him. God took him home and your peace is tht you will see him again. He is an angel singing and dancing the Praises to the Lord. The love he showed to our parents and us will never be forgotten. His life has been a blessing to many and his music has shown many people the path to the Lord. He will be sorely missed by all who came in contact with him.Pat & family we are always there for you .
