Vince was a true friend. I've known him for most of my 37 years living in North Ridgeville. He was the kind of friend that would tell you what was on his mind without sugarcoating. He played a large role in my decision to become Catholic. If you were a friend, you knew it from the way he spoke to you, and of you. Vince's Christianity was without question and it rubbed off on those who respected him. His legacy is his children, all raised by Vince and Cathy as upstanding citizens, most defenders of our country and two are West Point graduates. We witnessed again during the service for Vince what an outstanding family Vince and Cathy have parented. Each generation is respectful loving and loyal. It's been a honor to call them all friends.
I'm sure some people who knew him never made it past the gruff persona. Those that did are much better for the effort. I will miss my friend but I know he is in Heaven, standing with the son he lost so many years ago. Rest in peace Vince. Well done soldier of Christ!
