Dick opened and ran the Showboat Theater from 1969-1975. He did it for 2 reasons.
1.)He was a monumental egotist who wanted a forum where he could do all of the leading roles.
2.)It was a geat way for him to be able to chase women.He was married for 53 years,and was never fiathful for longer than a 2 week period.

It's sad to hear of your loss of Dick at this time in your life. I just can't beleive that we are all in our sevendees. It sseemed like yesterday that he was on the stage at Showboat theater. Now I'm sure he's in that big stage in heaven preaching the Bible again, like he did 35 years ago. These are sad times for us but, we are taught happy times after death. My love and prayers are with you and your fanily.
With sorrow at your great loss, we send our prayers and love to you all at this sad time. What wonderful memories all these 50 plus years and what a wonderful legacy Dick and Carlene created for all you "kids" and their kids, etc. of love and music and of life. Dear Charlene and Family...
How saddened we were learning of the loss of Richard...Our memories take us back to the 60's and early 70's when I was your hairdresser at Gaino's and then at my own shop, Snyder's.. OHH how we loved the plays at the ShowBoat Theater I still have the programs in my "treasure Box" and then how we both ended up in North Ridgeville..
Bob and I are now retired (2002) and living in Somerset, Pennsylvania...our love and prayers are with you all.
