Linda May Manoloff (nee Bittner), 75, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2014. Born and raised in Rochester, New York, the daughter of Fred Bittner (d. 1970) and Verna Taft (nee Gabbey, d. 2014) and the widow of Sam Manoloff (d. Read Obituary
To Linda's family....I remember meeting Linda back in 1957 when we both entered Wittenberg as freshman and ended up as next door "neighbors" in South Hall. Then, after joining Alpha Xi Delta sorority, we were room mates for the next three years. There are many wonderful memories of those years...especially our times on choir tours. Over the years our class "sisters" remained close, having many mini reunions. Linda was such an inspiration to all of us with her never ending energy and enthusiasm for everything she did. Her talk at our 50th class reunion about her travels to Guatemala was a highlight of that event. She gave so much to so many people. She will be truly missed. But, also she will be remembered by so many for her contributions in numerous areas and the love she gave to so many. My heart goes out to all of you during these difficult days, but know that she truly left a mark on many and gave of herself in such selfless ways. The smile in her picture truly depicts her outlook on life.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Linda's passing. To me, she was Sra Manoloff and a fellow Bethesda member, but more importantly, a great mother, teacher and humanitarian. She left the world a better place through her teaching, charity and the joy she brought to her family and community. I'm truly sorry for your untimely loss.

Dear Family of Linda,
Please receive our sincerest sympathies on the passing of your beloved Linda. You kids and our kids grew up together at Bethesda. Some were my (Louise) students in Confirmation class. Your Mom, Linda, was my 'co-worker' when I was Director of Christian Education. Judy (Clark) Richardson was secretary. And Linda was THE SUPER VOLUNTEER person at the church.
After we left for NC (BTW when we sell in NC we are moving back to Lakewood, OH), and we went back to Bethesda to visit, I found what a marvelous job Linda had done with the library and organizing storage in THE PIT.....remember? I think she may have been in charge of re-doing the courtyard. Gorgeous! (Remember Erv Christen, now deceased we heard. He was quite the volunteer also; I recall his planting daffodil bulbs during a January thaw in the courtyard.)
