I still think of you often. A smell. A song. A feeling. I know you visit me even now. When I look back, we shared moments that no one knew about. Somehow, these moments randomly play back in my head all the time...... To me, you were the smell of Avon's Skin So Soft and delicious Italian home cooking. Your laugh was such a warm and mischievous feeling, and your anger was the apocalypse. You had a way of telling stories of the past so well, I actually thought I was there. You always had a cure or solution for anything...... Mosquito bites (put an "X" in it with your thumbnail, then put that pink calamine lotion on it.) And you had a way of making me feel "cool" when I was an awkward "uncool" preteen.... Like discussing boys over my first cup of coffee, to plucking my eyebrows for the first time. I may also remember that my first "dance club" experience as a teen was allowed, only if you could come too! (A fair request, I thought!) There are so many little movies in my mind that come to the surface at any given time, even though you are no longer on this Earth. But because those movies still come to me now, I know you are still here. Ready to discuss love, sadness, circumstance, life........ I love you. I miss you. Thank you.
