Kenneth Martin, Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Kenneth E. Martin Sr., age 78, of Olmsted Township, died Saturday at Villa Camillus Nursing Home following a long illness. He was born in Rockcamp, West Virginia. He had resided in Olmsted Township the past 43 years moving from Cleveland. He had previously lived in Canton, Conn. Mr. Martin retired from General Motors Parma Plant in 1986 after 29 years, and was a member of UAW Local 1005.. Mr. Martin served in the US Navy He graduated as Valedictorian of the Peterstown High School in Peterstown, WV. He enjoyed listening to classical music and gardening. Mr. Martin is survived by two sons, Kenneth Jr. Of Raleigh, NC and Keith of Japan, two daughters, Brenda Mueller, and Betty Martin both of Olmsted Township, seven grandchildren, one brother, Clarence Martin of Rockcamp, WV., four sisters, Pauline Jackson of Christiansburg, VA, Irene Bradley of Blacksburgh, VA, Dorothy Hines of Cool Ridge WV, and Ruth Kanode of Leivasy, WV. He is preceded in death by his wife Freida F. (Nee Marston) in 2000, one brother, Jonathan William Martin , one sister Violet Pyne and his parents, Jonathan and Neva Martin. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-9PM in the David Bogner Family Funeral Home 36625 Center Ridge Road North Ridgeville. Friends may also call Wednesday from 12 Noon until time of services at 1:00PM at New Life Wesleyan Church 11149 West River Road Columbia Station. Reverend Robert Schroyer will officiate.
