Auntie Julie was a steadfast matriarch whose cohesive optimism gave us all a much needed (and deep) sense of family. We will all miss her and fondly remember how her humour, tirelessly laborious meals and all inclusive gatherings pulled us through what might have otherwise been divisive moments in our famille’s history. She was a mender of the heart and gatherer of spirits. We adored her for the blankets, restful holidays and stuffed bellies as kids. Her stalwart character and nurturing kindness lives on in our minds and hearts. May she rest in peace.
