Looking up old family members and came across Homer's Obituary online. Oather Clayton Webster had two younger sisters Naomi and Virginia Webster. My mother was Virginia Webster, she is buried beside her parents, Isaac and Dollie (Wright) Webster in the Everman Cemetery (where Oather's infant baby girl Faye Webster is buried) near Gregoryville & Grayson, Carter County, Kentucky. Virginia past away October 2, 1992. Naomi passed way May 31, 1995; Jack "JC" pased away on May 23, 1993; Kenneth pased on August 15, 1988; Frank A. Webster died on July 18, 2005 (preceeded by his wife Hazel Workman on July 1, 2003; they are buried in the East Carter County Memory Gardens just outside of Grayson). I have good memories of Oather's children (all ways kidding around and fun loving). My father, Virginia Webster's husband, Lovel Hensley, is buried in the Veterans National Cemetery near Grafton, West Virginia (he died on 12 March 1991). You will be sorely missed Uncle Homer. Not unlike my father, Uncle Homer always had a gentle smile and a kind word to say upon greeting you. Their sense of humor and sage advice were endearing qualities that both he and my father shared over the many years. Growing up, my Dad would often take me with him to visit Uncle Homer and Aunt Murdle (I now wonder on some of the viisits if my Dad was not seeking a reprieve from my mother's nagging). Just kidding Mom! On one particular visit (shorly after Uncle Homer had retired) we arrived to find him sitting in his lawn chair planted right next to the lawn mower. As usual he offered me a Dr. Pepper and I gladly accepted. I asked if he was getting ready to cut the grass. He replied: "Well Greg, now, if I have a job to do I find that the best thing for me to do is to pull up a chair and have a seat right next to it, because I'm in no hurry and it'll still be there tomorrow."

We love and miss you. Give Dad, Aunt Murdle, Grandma & Grandpa a hug from us. God bless you.

Tom and Barb, I was so sorry to hear about Homer's homegoing. Even though I know he is in a better place. He told me numerous times on the phone, "When my time comes, I hope I go fast." It seems he got his request. I spoke with him on the phone last Friday, I will miss talking to him. I am so sorry that due to health reasons Lawson and I will not be able to come. Rest assured you are in our thoughts and prayers.
